Chairman Price, Rep. Ross Announce $11 Million in Federal Funding to Raleigh-Durham International Airport

Today, Congressman David Price (NC-04) and Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $11,243,356 in grant funding to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) for taxiway improvements.

As Chairman of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations Subcommittee, Congressman Price worked to ensure robust funding for FAA airport grant programs in the Fiscal Year 2021 (FY21) omnibus funding package enacted in December 2020, as well as in the American Rescue Plan enacted in March 2021.

"Raleigh-Durham International Airport is an economic driver in the Triangle, connecting us physically while also enabling local commerce and employment opportunities," said Congressman David Price. "With air travel increasing from last year as we continue to fight COVID-19, I am pleased that RDU is receiving critical taxiway repair funding to improve the airport."
